‘A series of self portraits, Part A’ consists of location-drawn narratives that are all so common, neither simple nor complex the viewer has control to piece together the story line influenced by their own experiences and relations to what's being shown. The urban environments we inhabit, let alone pay attention to, become a stage set for performances even when no one is around.
The female body has so commonly become a prop to be used within storytelling, I responded from a female perspective placing myself within these locations to play on the gaze. I hid my identity and placed myself as if I was a doll being directed by a male to somehow become an object to be investigated.
